Introduction
Copy as MarkdownOctiga helps Managed Service Providers (MSPs) secure and manage Microsoft 365 tenants at scale. It continuously syncs tenant configuration, compares it against security baselines you define, and either alerts on drift or fixes it automatically.
Core concepts
Section titled “Core concepts”- MSP — your organisation. An MSP account owns and manages multiple client tenants.
- Tenant — a client’s Microsoft 365 tenant connected to Octiga.
- Template — a reusable set of security policies (specs) you author once.
- Baseline — a template applied to a tenant, group, or user. Baselines define the expected state.
- Deviation — a detected difference between the actual tenant state and a baseline.
- Alert — a notification raised for deviations and security events, optionally routed to your PSA (ConnectWise Manage, Datto, Halo, Acronis) or email.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- You connect a tenant and Octiga performs an initial sync of users, groups, policies, and settings from Microsoft Graph and Exchange Online.
- You apply templates to the tenant (or to specific groups and users) to create baselines.
- Scheduled syncs keep tenant data current; every sync is compared against the baselines.
- Deviations raise alerts — and, when auto-remediation is enabled, Octiga fixes them for you.
